This is a FREE online course suitable for any voluntary or community group in Bradford district that is trying to decide between registering as a charity or registering as a Community Interest Company (CIC).

• Did you know? Organisations cannot be both a charity and a Community Interest Company at the same time.
• Did you know? You can change a Community Interest Company to be a charity instead, but a charity cannot become a CIC.

Hear about these differences, discuss the pros and cons and get the facts at this one-hour session.

Learning outcomes:

• Understand the benefits of registering as a Community Interest Company and when it is not appropriate.
• Understand the benefits of registering as a charity and when it is not appropriate.

Organisations often struggle with the question of which legal structure to choose. It's an important decision so Community Action can also offer one-to-one advice on this topic funded through the Here4BDCC programme.

No knowledge needed but your group does need to be in Bradford district to take part.
