At the end of this half day session, participants will be able to list and understand the 8 principles of the Data Protection Act, apply rules relating to sensitive information,
  • be aware of the areas of particular concern in employment and learn the data protection rights of  service users.
  • Case studies, based on real life problems, and class discussion will help to find solutions where employers’ duties of confidentiality, and other responsibilities, seem to be in conflict.

This course is suited for managers, directors, trustees and data controllers.
