Confident Communication Skills

A practical and enjoyable day, in a supportive environment, for volunteers and staff.

This course is for people who would like to develop their skills and confidence to communicate more effectively at work or in a volunteer setting.  This course is funded for staff and volunteers from voluntary and community organisations in Bradford District.  We may ask for details of your website/publicity/Diva registration etc to verify this.

Only £10 per person

Aim:

To enable you to communicate more confidently with your colleagues, managers and clients/service users.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Explain what is meant by the term “confident communication”
  • Identify a range of tools and techniques and be able to use them appropriately when communicating
  • Describe 4 different ways of behaving and how these may affect your communication
  • Say no without being negative
  • Demonstrate communication techniques with both your managers and colleagues/fellow volunteers
  • Make an action plan to develop your communication skills at work/your volunteer setting.

As this course is funded by Bradford College learners will need to bring ID and their National Insurance number in order to complete the registration forms.
