Flexible working practices mean that more people are regularly working away from an office base as part of their job. We are spending more and more time working on our own therefore it is essential to understand the role and responsibility, legally and ethically, organizations have regarding lone working and the importance of taking responsibility for own safety and how this can influence and assist others in need.
It might not even have crossed your mind, but if you spend any part of your working day alone – in office on own, travelling to meeting in car on own, even working from home or café, even regularly or just now and then, you could be described as a lone worker.
Many people also visit vulnerable people in their own homes to provide care or support. These lone working situations need specific attention paid to them. Our course will provide you with the understanding and knowledge to assess each situation individually.
This training will provide each participant with the specific knowledge, skills and behaviours to increase and refresh their competence and confidence to work alone safely
