Trainer: Steve Dowson
Description of the Course
We often get asked to Chair meetings without any training on how to be effective, so we end up copying the last Chair we saw in action. This has led to ineffective meetings with poor outcomes.
In this session we explore how being a Chair and a facilitator are two different skills and what they both contribute to a meeting
- A clear definition of what is a Chair and what is a Facilitator
- Identity the skills needed to be good at both roles
- Gain an understanding of how to effectively Chair meetings and how to be a confident facilitator.
- Practical advice on how to manage the problems that plague most meetings.
Who the course would be suitable for?
This training is designed for people who may be new to a Chairing role or are struggling to Chair groups, or are experiencing ineffective meetings
