Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) Training - 13th February 2019

Does your community group or organisation run services for children and vulnerable adults?  If you do in many cases volunteers are involved in this activity.

The ultimate aim of our one day training course is to show participants how to check whether prospective volunteers have a criminal record, which makes them unsuitable for running particular activities and services for your organisation.

This full day session is aimed at Community Groups and Organisations who work with Children or Vulnerable Adults.

Below are just a few of the learning outcomes of the course:-

  • What is DBS checking?
  • The DBS Code of Practice
  • Who is eligible for a DBS check?
  • Who must have a DBS check?
  • Using an existing CRB / DBS certificate
  • The DBS disclosure process
