All adults who work with children and young people have a duty of care for the children they work with. This half-day event aims to support voluntary sector organisations in developing effective safeguarding standards and practices within their setting. We will be looking at the Safeguarding audit tool which is used by the Local Authority to assess safeguarding standards and a requirement by commissioners to be completed if applying for funding from them. The tool also acts as a useful Safeguarding check list for organisations.
This session is open to staff or volunteers who work for not for profit/voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations who deliver services to children and young people in the Bradford District and who are responsible for safeguarding within their setting, either as a Safeguarding Lead, manager or trustee.
